I am Briana Darby, a Licensed Associate Counselor and National Certified Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults coping with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, school-related issues, trauma, and relational and life-stage transitions. Using evidence-based treatment approaches such as dialectical-behavior interventions, cognitive-behavior interventions, and strategic-family approaches, I provide individual and family therapy to help clients reach their goals.
I believe in creating individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client. My focus is to help clients achieve deeper self-awareness, reach their greatest potential, and improve daily life functioning by strengthening interpersonal skills. I incorporate mindfulness techniques to encourage self-compassion and self-love.
I believe that therapy works best in a collaborative, safe, and empathetic environment that promotes an improved sense of well-being. I look forward to working with you on your healing journey.
